Winchester Bay, OR

WOW!!

We arrived in Winchester Bay yesterday about 1:00pm after a short 30 mile drive in the coastal fog up the 101 from Charleston (Ocean View RV Park) which in our opinion has our 'best beach' award. Now we are at, what we think so far, is the place that gets our 'best RV Park' award.

Winchester Bay RV Resort.

Spectacular waterfront views of the Harbor, the entrance of the Umpqua River and the Pacific Ocean. We are backed up to the bay/ocean and can see and hear the ocean waves all day/night long. It is beautiful.

Excellent park. We have not seen a better kept park in all our travels. There is perfectly manicured grass and hedges between sites. Also a picnic table and fire ring at each site. The sites are all angled & well spaced, so even if someone is next to you there is still a feeling of privacy. For extras there is a working lighthouse just up the road, people clamming, fishing boats throwing crab pots out right outside our window, fabulous fish & chips at Griff's at the marina and much more. This morning spotted an Oyster place across the Bay that we will have to check out.

There is a long asphalt path that runs all the way around the park, great for walking the pups! Laundry facilities are immaculate. The whole park is clean and well-kept.

Easy access to the beaches and dunes. World class fishing!

Suns out temp 66 with a little wind. We'll have more comments photos up in the days ahead so check back when you have time.
