We had 2 main reasons, besides something new, for going;
1. The Seafood Buffet Diner at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino. It was one of the best we've enjoyed and we have lots of casino's with diners/brunch's back home in Reno and many other places we've dined at.
2. Dwarf Car Museum
Stopped at the Dwarf Car Museum first and were not disappointed. Even if one wasn't a car buff you would appreciate what they do. Check their website (link above) for some info. ALL parts are hand-crafted!!
Ernie Adams, originator of the dwarf car, has made a name for himself building Dwarf Race Cars and scaled down replicas of classic cars called Dwarf Car Cruisers. These handmade works of art now have a home in Maricopa, Arizona.
Here are some photos we took;
Lucienne, would this work for you? When you and Don come to visit we can go there if you want.
Ah yes!!! Reminded us of 'the song' performed at the Tumbleweed quite often by a few of the talented artists.
This beauty we remembered being in the November Car Show in Eloy near us...won an award and the trophy was so tall they couldn't get it to fit and it had to be transported back home in another vehicle.
And a boat to match!!
The next car in the works...think they said a '32. Will take about another 3 years for completion!!
Fun time and if you are ever in the area check both
Harrah's and The Dwarf Museum out.
