Getting Ready To Head To S. Arizona Again

 

We now are getting Fall-like weather here in Reno which tells us it's time to head back to S. AZ and the Silverado RV Resort for the winter. 

 

 

 

With that we intend to leave on Wednesday October 13th staying overnight in Barstow. Next day we should arrive at the Silverado mid-afternoon.

 

Looking forward to seeing and enjoying the company of everyone again soon.

New Blackstone at home

Left our 17" down in S.AZ with our RV, traveling since last year back and forth now to our Reno home by car, and found we really missed the Blackstone and griddle cooking.

So...after arriving back home from AZ this winter season last Sunday we took care of that problem over the last couple of days.

Assembled the Original Blackstone Serve and Store cart Thursday and Friday the 17" with air fryer combo. Made chicken in the air fryer Friday for dinner and it turned out better than I expected...juicy and crispy skin just the way we like it.

Today we'll season the griddle and who knows what today's cooking will bring.

The cover btw fits great and is the 28" Pro Series. 

One thing I didn't like was the short propane hose and regulator so a 6ft Stainless Propane Regulator Hose especially for the Blackstone 17-22 inch Griddle should arrive Tuesday.

Back home in Reno

 After a very 'different' winter season because of the pandemic we arrived back home in Reno Sunday.

One overnight again in Barstow, CA this trip but stayed in a nicer area of town with much better places to stay.

Total Drive was 

13 hr 46 min (861 miles)

We will miss all our friends in S. AZ but not the higher temps that were already starting.

See ya all again in October at the Silverado.
