Green Bay, WI
Dropped rig at VanBoxtel RV and visited with friends there that we haven't seen for quite sometime. Then checked the pups in for a 1 week boarding at Golrusk Pet Center...first time boarding for Bailey & Baxter.
Then we went to very close friends Cal & Yvonne's house who we'll be staying with on our visit.
Thursday we drive about 25 miles South of GB to see daughter Kimi & son in law Eddie in their new house and view the 'nursery'....granddaughter due on July 28th.
50th HS class reunion activities begin Friday evening thru the weekend and in the meantime enjoying reacquainting our palates with fish fries, Kroll's hamburgers, chlli, chicken dumpling soup and other fine dining.
UPDATE May 30 from Green Bay.
Our week in Green Bay flew by. 50th Class Reunion was really enjoyable and well put together by the people that made it possible.
Had 2 visits with Kimi & Ed at their new home in Appleton, WI about 20 minutes South of GB. So nice to see them and will be staying in the area for the birth of grand daughter due on July 28th.
Big thanks to Cal & Yvonne for putting us up at their home during most of our stay. Had some great 'eats' at some of our old favorite places and enjoyed some new also.
Night before we left Cal, Yvonne and Chris joined us at the rig for a BBQ...sorry no pics as we were just having a good time conversing.

Still raining but roads are fine. Stopped in Rock Springs on the way to Cheyenne to fuel up...our first fuel stop leaving Reno. Nice to have about 100 gallons along on these long trips.
Arrived at a nice RV Park just outside of Cheyenne around 4pm after about a 6 hour run. Planned on staying for 2 nights but as you see in the pics what we woke up to this morning we may stay until Tuesday when the weather warms up to melt this stuff.
Check back...more updates soon when we get back on the road.
Monday Update: Another 3" or so last night...more pics added. Sunny and warming today. I-80 was closed this morning and we plan on leaving for Kearney NB tomorrow morning.

Evanston, WY
Lots of rain on this leg going thru Utah and wondering where this system is headed...is it going to be going East along our route?
Previously decided not to stop in Utah and continue into Wyoming stopping at Evanston just across the Utah/Wyoming border. Stayed at an OK campground...good for another overnight. Rained all night.
Sorry again...no pics.

Virginia City, NV
Last Friday we headed up to Virginia City (about a 30 min.drive) with close friends Ginny & Greg and had a great time before our trip to Wisconsin. Came back home Tuesday morning.
Virginia City is home to David John and the Comstock Cowboys who play to an always packed house at the Bucket of Blood Saloon.
We ate out every night enjoying the flavors of the City which included BBQ Ribs, Pizza, and Mexican.
Our best dinner was the last night in town where we were invited to a small private (8 local guests) informal dinner at 'CORE of Fine Dining'.
From their website;
"Owner-Chef, Richard Oates, from Ayr, Scotland, brings his farm-to-table sensibility and a worldly aesthetic to the Comstock. A culinary artist in every sense of the word.
The atmosphere at CORE is a fusion of historic elegance and casual fine dining. Co-Owner, Alexia Sober is orchestrator at the center of this presentation. Come for dinner and leave with a dining experience worth talking about."
Chef Richard and Alexia even joined us at the table for refreshments and the fine steak, fresh baked rolls they prepared. Can't tell you how delicious everything was...but I tried.
Richard has since passed away and Alexia continues the history wit the Canvas Cafe.
Tomorrow we head to Wisconsin where we plan to arrive on Wednesday May 21st. We'll try and do some updates on the way.
