Concert under the Cliffs

We haven't done as much local camping this summer spending more time with friends that don't have RV's or just have other things going on.

So this is trip basically planned since last September. One problem...the Slinkard Fire.

This from a local TV station in Reno.

We have a group from Reno joining many others making Meadowcliff Lodge/KOA  full the weekend of September 9th for their annual Concert Under the Cliffs. Here is our visit from last year.

Talked to Meadowcliff this afternoon and they are fine right now. The fire is about 8 miles N of them with a SE wind (so no smoke) right by Topaz Lake and the Topaz Lodge/RV Park and Casino. The fire is on the West side of HWY 395 and the Lodge on the East side. The Lodge and their facilities are closed as of last report.

Both directions of 395 are closed for the most part in that area except for guided escorts by law enforcement when the conditions are right to do so.

More when we have it...

We are getting a visit the 13th with an rv couple in Arizona city. He is 91 and is headed to Arizona City after the visit. MH but park model there. We need to visit early this season as the warmer days of March has been a bust. linda wants to see the puppies. Well not just the puppies of course. Be safe larry
