Amado, AZ

After a short 2 hour drive we arrived in Amado, about half way between Tucson and Nogales, Mexico, at De Anza RV Resort Friday the 11th.

Beautiful country with views of the mountains. Located just south of Tucson / Green Valley and minutes from historic Tubac Village & Madera Canyon are hiking trails, ATV riding and world-class Birding.

The resort features a pet friendly environment that includes indoor heated salt-water pool/spa, exercise room, billiards room, TV/library, movies, card room, board games, shuffleboard courts, darts, bocce ball and horseshoe pit.

Betty plans on taking in a couple of Water Aerobics classes which are held every day at the indoor pool. Really need an indoor pool right now as temps at night have been in the high teens with highs only in the 40's. Supposed to warm back up in the 60's later this week.

Had a fish fry in their on site restaurant, Greyhound Room Restaurant & Patio, the night we got here and the place was packed...heard they served 168 people which includes locals who know how good it is here. Met a lot of Packer fans and some were having a get together in the TV room to watch the game last Saturday night. We decided to watch the game in the rig and with the bad game the Packers played glad we did.

Pups get a grooming Wednesday at a place right next door to the Resort.

Enjoying the heck out of traveling and seeing the country....really roughing it!!
