Tucson, AZ

Friday we loaded up and drove the short 65 miles to Tucson and Lazy Days RV Resort. Great place for being in a big city, we prefer the outlying areas though, with many amenities. Our very good friends, Penney and George, have been here since Tuesday and are in a site right across from ours. Weather has been sunny and in the 70's since we arrived but chance of rain today. Had a very nice dinner at our place last night, chicken breast on the grill, with great company. 

Today, before we have our Super Bowl party, the girls are going to do some 'gem' shopping (George and I will get a few games of cribbage (Greg we are using a 3 person board) in before we pick them up to come home). The acclaimed Tucson Gem and Mineral Show™ is held every year on the second full weekend of February (starting with a Thursday). It has set the standard for gem and mineral shows around the world, and is now the largest gem and mineral show in the United States. The Show is open to the public and presents retail Dealers only. Proceeds from the Show remain in the Tucson economy and are used to support mineral knowledge and appreciation.
